Gold Plating Services
Gold Plating at G&A is geared towards customer requirements. Our ability to match color and thickness specification is our core strength. Karat is a measure of the fineness of gold. Fineness represents the weight proportion of gold relative to total weight. So, 24 Karat is pure gold, or 24/24ths of fine gold. 24 karat gold has its unique rich yellow color.
Alternatively, 14 karat gold is 14/24ths pure gold alloyed with other metals to provide strength to the plated metal. 14 karat gold has its own unique yellow color that is lighter in color as compared to 24 karat gold. The lighter color is a result of the alloyed metals in the plating bath which include potassium silver cyanide and other chemical constituents.
At G&A, our custom gold plating services can match nearly any gold color from a sample that customers supply. Our ability to shade gold to customer requirements is well known.
